Each guest will be given a sheet of glass to create their very own fused glass art.
You will be expertly guided throughout the session to learn
✨️How to cut your own glass if you choose
✨️How to use different glass materials, paints and techniques to achieve different effects.
Kate will talk you through every step, demonstrating throughout the session. She will demonstrate how to make a fairyhouse suncatcher, where you will follow along. Then you will have the opportunity for your creative juices to flow and create your very own suncatcher.
We will talk you through each of the materials, and explain how the firing schedules will work to make sure you achieve your desired result.
Each guest will receive a precut piece of glass, and a small sheet of clear glass this should allow you to make 2 - 3 suncatchers / decorations depending on what size you decide to cut.
Everyone over the age of 10 is welcome to attend the workshops.
We provide all tools, glass and materials that you will need. We will fire your finished piece in the kiln and return it to you within 7 - 14 working days.

If you have any special requests, additional needs or any questions please do not hesitate to contact Kate at katemarrglass@gmail.com we would love to help.
This workshop is just one of the activities going on throughout the month of June at the Tremolo Lounge for Lounge Aid, and so £5 of each ticket sale for this workshop will be donated to their chosen charity Make Your Own Way North East; a local charity providing vital food parcels to families in crisis, and run DIY and upcycling programmes to help build community skills and confidence.
